Caltec jet pumps can increase production: a typical increase is in the range 10%-40%; furthermore, the jet pump uses available energy sources that might otherwise go to waste. By de-bottlenecking compressors, allowing them to run at a higher intake pressure, capacity and operating efficiency is also increased.
Caltec jet pumps can extend the operating life of a well, particularly by restoring liquid loaded or dead wells back into production. An HP source can be harnessed to increase production from nearby low pressure wells and avoid the low pressure wells being backed out by the HP source.
For a relatively modest capital outlay, Caltec jet pumps can make a significant improvement to the return on investment of a well that might otherwise be approaching de-commissioning.
The standard range of Caltec jet pumps comprises an entry level 6" model (Jp-6) with a discharge flowrate of up to 50 MMscfd and the larger 10" model (Jp-10) with a discharge flowrate up to an impressive 135 MMscfd. Custom designs can also be supplied, and all Caltec jet pumps are capable of operating in extreme temperature conditions, and in both subsea and land-based deployments.
As a passive device with no moving parts, the jet pump needs very little maintenance or control.
Caltec jet pumps are very effective at harnessing existing energy sources, such as a compressor on recycle, or a high pressure well, to boost the production rate and/or delivery pressure of low pressure wells. Caltec jet pumps also reduce the carbon footprint of a well by harnessing energy sources that would otherwise go to waste.
Caltec jet pumps are available on rapid deployment, and should have immediate impact, typically increasing production by 25%-40%; Caltec can also make the units available for rental on a short-term basis, and can custom-design units for specific applications. Caltec jet pumps are manufactured to industry standard specification and are quick and easy to install; due to their compact size they require much less space than other types of jet pump.
Caltec jet pumps are not sensitive to motion and are ideal for ship borne use.
